5th Annual SESSFA Move-A-Thon

SESSFA schools are excited to kick off the 5th annual Move-a-Thon fundraising drive running now through April 30, 2025.

SESSFA is a network of 17 Southeast Seattle elementary, K-8, and middle schools partnering to mitigate the impacts of insufficient school funding on students furthest from educational justice with community-funded support for materials and programs to help every student reach their greatest potential.

During Move-a-Thon, more than 6,700 elementary and middle school students are in on the action as each SESSFA school gets moving with its own Move-a-Thon special event to raise funds for a good cause!

At John Muir, Move-a-thon is an exciting event where students will run, walk, and move together around the playground.

Families are encouraged to come out, cheer them on, and even join in the fun to keep the energy high!

Our goal? To promote wellness, have fun, and most importantly, raise $20,000 to support vital programs and resources at John Muir and all 17 of our partner SESSFA schools.
